The big reason people resist xci-to-nsp conversions is that it breaks the file's signature and causes it to fail integrity checks. Since nsp doesn't have any inherent benefit over xci it's just a bad dump for no gain, and as a topper there's a genuine danger that someone may try to masquerade Switch malware as an XCI convert of a new game.

Because you're on CFW and can't go online, it won't start the updating when putting the 'cart' in for the first time, so you must install it yourself.
